On-Site Validation

Before they’re deposited into escrow, a TES technical verification specialist will observe the preparation of deposit materials on-site, alongside the licensor/vendor.

This enables us to ‘look over the shoulder’ of the licensor, and possibly offer useful suggestions on build instructions, configuration information, tools and documentation that should be included in the deposit materials.

Premium Package

TES’ Premium Solution provides assurance that the material deposited in an escrow is correct and complete. It does this by ensuring that the deposit can be built into the working system at the software owner’s site.

We will send a consultant to the site to observe the complete build process for the application, from source code to working system. They will document every detail of the environment, third party tools and build process in a comprehensive build guide. This describes each step in the process of building the source code into the working application.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, the TES consultant will retain the verified materials to lodge in the secure escrow deposit facility.

Total Package

The Total Escrow Solution uses the same principles as the full certification solution. However, it takes things a stage further, to prove the build in your production environment.

A TES consultant will perform a verification as described above, and produce a comprehensive report accompanied by a copy of the deposit material. We will then visit the licensee’s site and restore the application using the deposit material and the detailed build guide. This proves that in the event of a release, the deposited material can be built and deployed into a production environment.

6 days on site + 4 days reporting – price on enquiry

Please note: each of these solutions also includes a single user escrow agreement, where appropriate.

Validation of Media Deposits

Whenever Total Escrow Solutions receive a media deposit, we subject it to a basic validation testing process.

This ensures that the media is:

• Readable

• Contains source code

• Is of the expected size and format

• Free from viruses

• Any encryption or password technology can be circumvented

Once the initial deposit has passed the basic validation test, we will make a copy of the media and store the deposit in 2 separate, secure storage locations.
