Fresh Fruit To Keep The Team Fresh

Skylab is hiring!

Recently, Skylab has ordered up a range of tropical fruits for the team.

Not long ago we had an office meeting where everyone was entitled to come together and put forward ideas that would help stimulate and improve the working atmosphere here in the office.

One definite focus was on the health of the team in the office. It’s very easy to quickly dash to the newsagent and get a chocolate bar or a bag of sweets but the nearest grocery or fresh fruit is a bit far to go to make it convenient.

Out of this meeting the team proposed that the company provide fresh fruit. In fact, the options extend beyond fresh fruit and include a variety of nuts, dried fruit and other healthy bits, all of which is provided by Skylab. The whole thing is paid from an allocated weekly budget and selected team members stop and purchase the goods each week. The entire team can suggest, on a weekly basis, what type of fruit is purchased (although we use our better judgement and avoid purchasing whole watermelons or pineapples.)

So far the plan has been a huge success and we’ve seen a 68% decrease in unhealthy snacks being purchased after 2:45pm. (Please don’t ask us to prove that statistic.)

Skylab is dedicated to keeping the team running like a well oiled machine and there’s no doubt that new luxuries are only around the corner.
